The Covell family
My research into the Covell family is in its relative infancy but whilst searching both the Boulter and Dewey families, I soon found that the same Covell ancestors appear in both trees.
Findings so far, show that the Covell head of the family, William, married Elizabeth Harlow at Witchford in 1746.
The couple go on to have at least seven children, but at least two of these died in infancy - the oldest, William and the third oldest, Mary.
Their second child, Elizabeth (bpt.1748) went on to marry Thomas Dewey in 1768, whilst her brother William (the second William, and fifth child), married Mary Ayers (1760-1835).
It is likely that William Covell snr, was the brother of Thomas Covell, who married Alice Nichols (1726-1800) at Witchford in 1748.
