Philip Cross
1798-1866

Philip Cross was one of the fifteen known children of Philip Cross and his wife Mary Ong of Ely.

He married Sarah Freeman in 1820 but by the time of the baptism of the second Ephriam Cross and his brother George in 1835, Philip appears to be married to Ellen. Philip and Ellen appear on the 1841 Ely Census with a family of seven children at Cuckold's Haven, Ely.

Two of Philip's brothers emigrated to Australia; Charles Cross and George Cross. Two of Philip and Sarah's sons also emigrated over to Australia - Ephriam and Eli in 1850 and 1854.
