Walter Dewey
1883-1915

Walter Dewey was the sixth child of John Freeman Dewey and his wife Elizabeth Boulter of Witchford, Cambridgeshire.

He married Annie and the couple lived in Church Street, Somersham, Cambridgeshire, although were living nearby on Chatteris Road by the time of the 1911 census.

Walter enlisted as a Private with the 2nd Battalion of the Bedfordshire Regiment during the First World War.

Sadly he was killed in action and a "no known grave" became his resting place.
