Mary Grey
1816-?
Mary Grey was one of the six known children of William Grey and his wife Elizabeth Cawthorne of Ely, Cambridgeshire.
Mary married John Freeman of nearby Prickwillow and together they had ten children. The couple and their first three children appear on the Witchford 1841 census, living at Cold Moor Farm, along with two servants. John is noted as an 'Agricultural Labourer'. By the time of the 1851 Census, the family had moved from Witchford to Coveney and John is noted as a farmer with 45 acres of land.
By the time that three of their children married in 1865, John had died.
