Joseph Irons

Joseph Irons was the fourth of the five known children of Richard Irons and his wife Ruth (née Betts) of Little Downham and Littleport, Cambridgeshire.
Joseph married Mary Nicholas of Coveney and the couple settled down to have at least 6 children.
The year that Joseph died (aged about 49 years), the Little Downham burial register notes "Entries for 1768 -1771 - Affadavit made that person was buried in wool under Act of Parliament".
