Dorcas Jeffery was the ninth child of Dean Jeffery, a gardener of Ely, and his second child with his second wife, Eleanor Jeffery.
Dorcas married Edward Pooley of Newnham, Ely and the couple had at least three children. Their daughter Dorcas, married James Cross of Ely.
