Philip Martin
1727-17??
Philip Martin was the sixth of the eight known children of James Martin and his first child with his second wife Jane Hescue of Coveney, Cambridgeshire. Jane already had a daughter named Sarah Hescue, born illegitimately in 1714.
Philip married Elizabeth Morlin and the couple lived in Coveney and had five children.
By 1769 though, Philip was a widower and it was the following year that he remarried to Susan(nah) Barber (née Poole) who was already my 5xGt Maternal Grandmother. It is through this marriage to Philip, that by marriage I am in affect, my own cousin.
I do not believe that there were any children from Philip and Susannah's marriage. Susannah died three years later, having already bore six children from her first marriage to Robert Barber.
