Elizabeth Truelove
1677-1735
Elizabeth Truelove was born in Leighton Buzzard. She was one of the and the couple settled down to have ten children, although three of them died in infancy.
She married a tailor named William Hale from Knotting, Bedfordshire and the couple settled down in Potton (also Bedfordshire). Here they had 10 children, although three of them did not survive their infancy.
Although some twelve years his senior, Elizabeth outlived William, but both had died by the time their youngest child John was just 10 years old. It remains unclear as to who took care of the family from this point onwards, although some of the couples' oldest children may have taken responsibility.
