The Family Tree

Ann Whiten
1809-1843

Ann Whiten's ancestry is not currently known, although there are records available that suggest that she is likely to have been the illegitimate daughter of Mary Whiten and Robert Nightingale of Haddenham. This is certainly a possibility given the dates and the proximity of Haddenham to Little Thetford and Stretham where she went to live after marriage.

Ann was was the first wife of my Gt. x4 Grandfather, John Yarrow of Little Thetford, Cambridgeshire. Whilst she was married to John, she gave birth to two children. Sadly, when the youngest child was about 11 years old, she died.

John went on to marry again and have further children but upon his death, he was buried with Ann and their grandson.
