The Family Tree

Lois Margaret Yarrow
1917-2003

Lois was the fourteenth of the fifteen children of James Yarrow and his wife Adelaide (née Bishop) of Wilburton, Cambridgeshire.

Lois never married, nor did she have any children. Like her younger sister, Winifred, she enjoyed a long career as a teacher before retirement to Witchford.

She was a keen writer, driver, a regular attendee of the Wilburton parish church and a historian and is known to have written a comprehensive book on the Yarrow family which later became subject of a small family feud after it went missing. The book has never been recovered but she passed copies of her research notes and albums of photographs and letters to the creator and researcher of this website, just a few years before her death.

She died at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge after a short battle with Cancer.
