
Nathan Cross was the third of the eleven known children of James Cross and Elizabeth Lee of Ely.
Nathan married Charlotte Lee and the couple had six children. Nathan is noted as a "carpenter" in 1881.
Nathan appears as a 63 year old widow on the 1881 Census, living at the house of his son, Nathan in Queen Adelaide, Cambridgeshire, along with his son's wife and four children and his two unmarried daughters, Mary Jane Lee Cross and Charlotte Lee Cross. Next door to the family, lives Nathan's brother, Uriah and his family.
