Sarah Dewey

Sarah Dewey was the oldest child of William Dewey and his wife Mary Tabraham of Witchford, Cambridgeshire.
When she was 18 years old in 1856, she gave birth to her son, John Freeman Dewey. The identity of his father remained a mystery but she went on to marry John Gooby, a groom from Witchford and they had at least two more children.
She appears on the 1881 census with her husband and their two children - George and Annie and also her father-in-law, Robert Gooby, a gardener.
