Elizabeth Howlett
1838-1918
Elizabeth Howlett was the youngest child of John Howlett and his wife Elizabeth (née Poll), formerly of Wymondham, Norfolk but later Mildenhall, Suffolk. She was also known as "Besty".
In 1841, Elizabeth appears with her parents and older siblings, aged 4 years, as living at Burnt Fen, Lakenheath.
She married George Gipp, a labourer in 1854 and by 1862 they were living at Burnt Fen, Mildenhall. By the time of George's death they had moved a few miles away to Beck Row, where he died from Meningitis in 1887.
Elizabeth was baptised in Mildenhall when she was 62 years old.
