The Levitt family link into my ancestry via the Newman family. The Levitt family were living in Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire for at least 100 years between 1800 and 1900.
The oldest Levitt ancestor that i have uncovered is my Gt.x4 Grandfather John Levitt of Swaffham Bulbeck and his wife Elizabeth Skeels. They were married in St. Giles, Cambridge in 1824 and went on to have nine children in Swaffham Bulbeck.
A modern day descendant of the Levitt family, Angela Ward, made a link with me recently and provided me with a lot of this information which I have been able to pad out with my own research notes and subsequent visits to Cambridge Records Office.
