Edward Moden
17??-1797
Edward Moden is the earliest of the Moden family uncovered so far.
He first appears at Coveney, Cambridgeshire in 1792 when he marries Margaret Nicholas. In 1794 and 1796 he appears again in the baptism register for their two children in the same parish and by 1797 he is buried.
There is no sign of Edward before the marriage and there is no indication of where he came from, nor his age at death.
Looking at the Moden/Morden and variants, and the parishes neighbouring Coveney, sees the family name in Stretham and Wilburton, but there is not an obvious baptism for Edward.
After Edward's death, his widow Margaret remarried to William Biggs.
