Emma Levitt
1825-1892
Emma was born in Swaffham Bulbeck as the oldest of nine known children of John Levitt (a labourer) and his wife Elizabeth (née Skeels).
Emma married Charles Newman, a blacksmith, in 1847 and the couple are noted as living on the High Street of Swaffham Bulbeck with at least six children.
Emma pre-deceased her husband Charles in 1892. He later appears as a widower living in Newmarket with their son Elias and his young family on the 1901 census. Her mother died less than two years before her.
