William Yarrow
1778-1848

William Yarrow was the oldest known child of John Yarrow and his wife Mary (née Rayner) of Little Thetford, Cambridgeshire.

William married Elizabeth Wright by License and the couple appear to have had eleven children, although if you go by the baptism registers but you'll notice that there appears to have been two James and two Ann children alive at the same time, so it's probably safe to assume that James and Ann were baptised twice.

Their youngest daughter, Susan, is noted on various censuses as being "handicapped" or "suffers from fits" and lived for most of her life with her brother John Yarrow and his family until her death in 1886.

William is noted as a "Farmer" on the 1841 census. He is listed there as living with his two daughters - Sarah and Susan. William's wife predeceased him, but inconsistent records means her death took place sometime between November 1837 and November 1839, and may have taken place in London.
