Jane Levitt
(1835-1919)

John Levitt (later Jane Aves) was the fifth of the nine known children of John Levitt and his wife Elizabeth Skeel of Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridgeshire, England.

Jane married agricultural labourer Alfred Aves at their native Swaffham Bulbeck church, and the coupled became parents the following year to the first of their nine children. Their family would grow over the next 20 years, mostly with daughters - with just two sons being recorded.

Jane died in 1919, and whilst Alfred's death is not recorded in the burial records before 1950, and she is not noted as a widow at the time of her burial, I can only assume he moved elsewhere in his later years.
