Fanny Harrison
(1802-1881)

Fanny Harrison (also known as Frances Harrison, and later as Fanny Tingey) was the fifth of the eight children of Richard Harrison and his wife Esther of Little Downham, Cambridgeshire, England.

Fanny married labourer Robert Tingey of Witcham in 1820, and they settled down to become parents 12 times. Sadly, two of the children died in their infancy just a few days apart, and son Robert died when he was 18 years old.

Her name alternates between being Fanny and Frances Harrison throughout records but the baptism record for her, clearly states her name as Fanny.

In 1851 the family appears on the Census at Cannon Street, Little Downham, Cambridgeshire. Also living at the house was Robert's widowed mother, Mary Barber and his 11 year old nephew John Burgess.

Robert pre-deceased Fanny by 9 years.
