True Nicholas Moden
(1836-1924)

True Nicholas Moden (also known as Trew Nicholas Moden) was the seventh of the nine children of William Moden and his wife Rebecca Dolby of Coveney, Cambridgeshire, England.

When True was 29 years old, he married Ruth Graham from Little Downham at her local parish church on St. Valentine's Day 1865. This was just 8 days before his family returned there to bury his father.

True is noted as a labourer during the late 1800s, and by the time of the 1881 census he is noted as a 'Farmer of 10 1/2 acres', which he continues to be into 1901. By 1911, he is noted as retired.

Ruth pre-deceased True by just over 24 years in January 1900, and True then went to live with their only child, Harriet. He died aged '94' in 1924.
